only a 5-minutes walk from the old city
center (Thapae gate).

they don't know where we are located.
Insist on being dropped at Julie Guesthouse (there's
only one in town!) as they might try to bring your to their "brothers" or "sisters" guesthouse, or will
tell you that Julie's does not exist anymore, is very far away from
the city, or just full. Telling them that you already booked a
room at Julie's will help.
Arriving in the early morning:
If you are arriving from Bangkok by train, Khao San Road bus
or government bus early in the morning, please be advised that
our gates are open after 0600 am. and our reception will open at
8 am. Please feel free to chill out in our cosy lobby or have a rest on our rooftop until
our front desk staff will attend you.
Arriving in Chiang Mai from Bangkok by train:
The train station is about 2.5 km away from the center. Take a tuk-tuk or pick-up truck
for around 60-70 Bath.
By bus from northern bus-terminal
in Bangkok (Mochit):
You will arrive at Arcade Bus-Terminal in Chiang Mai. It is around 3 km away from
Julie Guesthouse, which is centrally located near Thapae Gate.
Just take a tuk-tuk or red pick-up truck for about 60-70 Baht.
By air:
The Chiang Mai airport is about 4 km away from Julie's. Please
take an airport taxi for 120 Baht
and it will take about 15 minutes. Or walk about 300 m to the main road and take a tuk-tuk or pick-up truck for about 80 Baht.
By cheaper bus from Khao San road, Bangkok :
You will be dropped about 3 km outside of town and promised a
free ride to a guesthouse or a so-called TAT-office (but in fact it's a normal travel agency) where you'll be served free coffee or tea and made sign-up for a tour straight away.
Better don't rush and wait until you're really awake...
Take a tuk-tuk or a red pick-up truck waiting along the
road for 60 Baht, or use the free ride and then get a tuk-tuk, pick-up truck
or walk to the guesthouse of your choice!
